J'ai découvert une petite "nursery" anglaise qui est en train de se constituer une belle collection de tricyrtis, dont pas mal de botaniques...je me suis dit que cela pouvait intéresser quelques "fanas" au pays de Jardiweb, peut-être?...
En plus, Paul est vraiment charmant, attentionné et amical...Ses prix sont très corrects, et les plantes que je viens de recevoir sont autre chose que des petits "schlouks"!!!
Voyez plutôt ce qui me reste, APRES avoir fait "fifty/fifty" avec une jardiwebbeuse-que-je-ne-nommerai pas!

Tricyrtis – Tricyrtis are rhizomatous, herbaceous perennials coming from the E. Hymalayas to the Philippines and are fully hardy. In the main prefer a moist, humus rich, well drained soil in partial shade, but are relatively easy to grow establishing clumps of 30cm to 60cm across. Most produce star shaped orchid like flowers, but some produce funnel or bell shaped flowers, however all flowers have 6 petals. They mainly produce their flowers in late summer and through out autumn. You can see from the number of them listed below they are a bit of a passion of ours, but as we are trying to build up our stock and collection of Tricyrtis, so some of these may not be available or will only be available in low numbers.
Tricyrtis ‘Adbane’ – Ht 90cm. Large leaves faintly spotted, white star shaped flowers with light purple spots, the widest 3 petals are shaded a darker purple towards the tips. Flowers during September/October.
Tricyrtis ‘B & SWJ 3635’ – Ht
Tricyrtis ‘Empress’ – Ht 65cm. Mid-green leaves. Star shaped white flowers spotted and splashed with purple. Flowers Septmber/October.
Tricyrtis fomosana ‘Gilty Pleasure’ (PBR) – Ht 60cm Sp 30cm. Electric yellow foliage in spring which remains a good golden colour though out the season. In autumn produces orchid like star shaped white flushed pink purple flowers with purple spots. Prefers a partially shaded site. Terra Nova nurseries in America recently bred this toad lily.
Tricyrtis ‘Gilt Edged’ – Ht 90cm. Light green leaves with creamy yellow edge. Star shaped white flowers spotted with lavender. Flowers August to October.
Tricyrtis ‘Harlequin’ – Ht 60cm. Lightly spotted green leaves. Star shaped pink/pale lilac flowers, lightly spotted flowers. Flowers September/October.
Tricyrtis ‘Hototogisu’ – Ht 90cm. Green leaves. Star shaped white flowers with fine spots. All petal are tinged purple blue, more heavily on the wider three petals. Flowers August/September.
Tricyrtis ‘Imperial Banner’ (PBR) – Ht 80cm Sp 60cm. Clump forming perennial with green and cream striped leaves. It produces star shaped orchid like white flowers with lilac spots. Terra Nova nurseries in America developed this plant in 2006. As far as we are aware, we are one of the few if not the only nursery in the country that currently has this plant for sale!
Tricyrtis ‘Ivory Queen’ – Ht 45cm. Fairly large mid-green leaves. White star shaped flowers with a hint of yellow at the base of the petals. Flowers September/October.
Tricyrtis ‘Kohaku’ – Ht 10cm. Mid-green leaves on very low arching stems. Creamy white large bell shaped flowers with maroon spots. The spots get larger to the base of the petals, which are creamy yellow at the base. Flowers September/October.
Tricyrtis ‘Lemon Lime’ – Ht 45cm. When leaves first emerge they are burnished golden-green with light spots. Star shaped white flowers intensely spotted wuth purple. Flowers September/October.
Tricyrtis ‘Lighting Strike’ – Ht 90cm. Green leaves which are streaked yellow and cream. White star shaped flowers spotted dark maroon. Flowers August/September.
Tricyrtis ‘Lilac Towers’
Tricyrtis ‘Raspberry Mousse’ – Ht 45cm. Lightly spotted green leaves. Small star shaped raspberry pink flowers with purple spots, with silvery stamens and anthers. Flowers August to October.
Tricyrtis ‘Shimone’ – Ht 90cm. Green leaves, which turn coppery brown in autumn. Star shaped white flowers heavily spotted purple. Flowers September/October.
Tricyrtis ‘Tojen’ – Ht 50cm. Very large dark green leaves relative to the flowers. The star shaped flowers are a creamy white, with the three widest petal edged with blue/lavender. The filaments,style and stigma are spotted lavender. It flowers from August to October.
Tricyrtis ‘Washfields Nursery Form’ – Ht 90cm. Quite vigerous plant with large dark green leaves. Star shaped flowers, with the three thin petals being white, slightly coloured at the tips and a few spots at the base. The three larger petals are a dark purple/blue with fine spots at the base. Flowers September/October.
Tricyrtis affinis ‘Variegata’ – Green leaves with a cream edge, star shaped white flowers with fine purple spots.
Tricyrtis dilatata – Ht 60cm. Bright green leaves. Small off white star shaped flowers. Flowers Late August to October.
Tricyrtis formosana - Pale Form – 90cm. Dark green leaves which are faintly spotted. Star shaped white flowers with pale lavender spots. Flowers during September/October.
Tricyrtis formosana ‘B & SWJ 306’
Tricyrtis formosana ‘B & SWJ 355’ – Ht 45cm. Plant has a fairly lax habit with green leaves with darker spots. Star shaped white flowers with fine purple spots, with the wider petals very densely spotted at the tips. Flowers during September/October.
Tricyrtis formosana ‘B & SWJ 3712’ – Ht 60cm. Dark green leaves spotted leaves. Pale lilac/white star shaped flowers with small lavender coloured spots. The spots are darker on the edge of the larger three petals. Flowers during September/October.
Tricyrtis formosana ‘B & SWJ 3712’ Heavily spotted form – Ht 60cm. Dark green leaves spotted leaves. Pale lilac/white star shaped flowers heavily spotted with dark lavender coloured spots. The spots are darker on the edge of the larger three petals. Flowers during September/October.
Tricyrtis formosana ‘Purple Beauty’ – Ht 60cm. Green leaves with pales spots. Star shaped pale purple flowers with dark purple spots. Flowers August to October.
Tricyrtis formosana ‘Shelleys’ – Ht 65cm. Green leaves faintly spotted. Large white flowers with purple spots. Flowers September/October.
Tricyrtis formosana ‘Variegata’ – Ht 45cm. Leaves are mid-green with and the older leaves have a cream edge to them. Star shaped white flowers with a pink wash to them and dark purple/red spots. Flowers September/October.
Tricyrtis formosana(AGM) – Ht 90cm. Green leaves. Pale pink/white star shaped flowers with lavender spots. Flowers during September/October.
Tricyrtis hirta – Ht 60cm. – Mid-green slightly hairy leaves and stem. Star shaped white flowers with lilac coloured spots. Flowers late August to October.

Tricyrtis hirta ‘Silver Blue’ – Ht 60cm. This variety was bread by Farmyard nurseries in Wales, who hold the national collection of tricyrtis. It has hairy mid-green leaves and hairy stems, which arch slightly. Flowering from each leaf joint, with star shaped flowers that are white, heavily spotted with fine dark blue/purple, giving the overall effect of a silvery blue flower. Flowers late August to October.
Tricyrtis hirta alba – Ht 90cm. Hairy mid-green leaves. White star shaped flowers with purple anthers. Not a rapid grower. Flowers September/October.
Tricyrtis ishiiana ‘Suningensis’ – Ht 20cm. Dark green leaves on low arching stems. Yellow bell shaped flowers which have many red spots on the inside. Flowers September/October.
Tricyrtis lasiocarpa ‘B & SWJ 7013’ – Ht 70cm. Green leaves with star shaped flowers, being a pale flower washed with deep purple/blue from the middle of the petals to the edge. Flowers September/October.
Tricyrtis latifolia – Ht 90cm. Mid-green leaves. Star shaped yellow flowers with chocolate coloured spots. One of the earlier flowering tricyrtis, flowering from late July into September.
Tricyrtis latifolia from Japan – Ht 90cm. Similar to tricyrtis latifolia, however the spots are finer and the difference between the petals more pronounced; three petals being very rounded and the other three very pointed.
Tricyrtis macrantha ssp.macranthopsis – Ht 30cm. Slender mid-green leaves on arching stems. Bell shaped yellow flowers, with many beige spots on the inside. Flowers August/September.
Tricyrtis macrapoda – Ht 90cm. Large green hairy leaves with dark spots. Relatively large star shaped pink/white flowers with pale lavender spots. Flowers September/October.
Tricyrtis macropoda – Yung Yi Temple Form – Ht 60cm. Light green leaves which are lightly spotted. Star shaped white flowers flushed pink with yellow centre. Flowers August to October.
Tricyrtis oshumiensis – Ht 30cm. Green leaves. Large pale yellow flowers, with all petals being the the same size and shape. Flowers July/August.
Tricyrtis perfoliata – Ht 15cm. Long, narrow, mid-green leaves on arching stem. Open bell shaped flowers, which are yellow with red/purple spots. Flowers September/October.

Ohé, les Dupont/d, là...
Le pire, c'est que c'est toujours vrai : je n'aime guère CERTAINS tricyrtis, ceux qui font des petites fleurs mignardes au bout de longues tiges raides, comme le hirta de base ou 'White Towers'..mais les arbustifs, genre 'Tojen' ou 'Blau', ou les gracieusement arqués qui fleurissent tout le long des tiges, comme le shinoanum, là...
En plus, c'est pas ma faute, ils aiment ma terre, les bougres! Si vous voyiez toutes les belles pousses qui sont en train de sortir, ce printemps!
Alors puisque mon jardin les aime, et que c'est réciproque apparemment, je m'incline...(pas aussi gracieusement, certes, mais que voulez-vous, avec mes vieilles douleurs, mes pôv'zenfants....)
La vieille Zeph qui radote! ..pis qui attend un petit dernier: tricyrtis 'Tiny Toad', un pitchou de 30 cm de haut!

Je lutte contre les limaces d'ailleurs en ce moment, mes pauvres Tricyrtis sont tout attaqués...J'ai envie de les disséquer vivantes pour me venger...grrrr....

Moi je ne suis pas trop tricyrtis non plus mais j'ai craqué à l'automne et acheté la "shimone" et là hier au cours de l'inventaire de ma nurserie j'ai vu un pot tout vide est-ce bien normal?eEst-ce que la petite bête en dormance va surgir du pot?

Zeph, je ne savais pas qu'il y avait tant de choix dans les tricyrtis, j'ai un 'hirta' dont photo ci-dessous pour nos visiteurs qui ne connaissent pas.

je crois qu'ils ne sont pas tous aussi rustiques car j'ai acheté le tricyrtis'Samouraï' (30 cm Haut) à Courson et je ne l'ai pas revu !

Bonne nouvelle ma "Shimone" (c'est une fille je vous le confirme) a des racines a faire pêter son godet mais les limaces étaient tombée amoureuses de la petite et en avait fait un petit déjeuner exotique.Deux granulés de ferrotruc anti-limaces et la petite a retrouvé son sourire de bébé.

Même que je suis allée la voir dans son berceau aujourd'hui et je ne l'ai pas reconnu elle pointait 2 petites feuilles et à coté d'elle gisait une minuscule limace noire toute désagrégée
